STEVE SMITH

Steve graduated from Manual High School in 1977 and started working shortly thereafter for a local independent siding contractor as a general laborer. There he learned about siding and metal wrap installations on new and existing homes.

 

In 1985, he went to work for a seamless aluminum gutter company called Rain Flow.  This began a long career in the business of aluminum guttering, metal flashing, and custom copper fabricating and installations. He was a quick study and in a matter of a few years was running his own crew.

 

Steve continued to climb in the ranks, being promoted to supervisor in 1989, general manager in 1991, to the chance to buy and own a small percentage of the company in 1996. This lead to the purchase of the entire business in 2006, and the company is still going strong today.

 

A new division of Rain Flow was then born – Rain Flow Exteriors and Remodeling, which expanded the company’s services to specializing in shingle and metal roof installations, room additions and all aspects of interior and exterior remodeling projects.

 

This lead to the creation of Blazek & Smith Custom Builder and Remodeling, which proudly serves central Indiana in the construction of beautiful, quality custom homes, as well as remodeling projects of all sizes.

 

Steve and his business partner, Phil Blazek, have more than 40 years of combined experience. They make an excellent team with their vast construction knowledge and the excellent reputation they have built over many years with their customers.
